Lawn Chair Millionaire - Scam Or Legit Business Opportunity?
March 26, 2008 |
Lawn Chair Millionaire - Another network marketing company. But is this one any different than all the others? Let’s take an in depth look at LCM and decide.
First off, their marketing website does not give you FAQs about LCM, which is an automatic turnoff. People have a ton of questions when first seeking out a potential home based business. Why wouldn’t they have a FAQ sheet? Second, you must fill out the contact form on their website and verify your info through a code (via email) where you are immediately enticed to join this program through the “fear of loss technique” via the moneyline pools. These promise a certain amount of money and are on every page of the site encouraging you to “lock in your position”.
Now, the product is “the vault”, which is what your are spending $29.95 a month to have access to. Once inside “the vault”, you have access to 3 money making opportunities, however, these are not free (that’s more money out of your pocket). These 3 money making opportunities can be found outside of the LCM program, but at a higher price.
So, how does one get paid from LCM? You MUST purchase a “debit card” through their system. Now, the price of the card is determined by how many referrals you attain. So, it costs $64 if you don’t sponsor anyone, $54.99 if you sponsor 3, $44.99 if you sponsor 5, $25 if you sponsor 10, and free if you sponsor 15. This is not mentioned anywhere on the site until you join. Also, what you may not know, is that typically debit cards have additional fees associated with them, such as withdrawal and monthly maintenance fees. Now, this program pays a $20 fast start bonus and one can earn a residual $15 a month.
In closing, do I feel LCM is a scam? No, I do not. However, I feel there are better mlm type companies out there that offer a higher pay plan that would be more beneficial to me and the goals I want to achieve.
