Paid online surveys are a great way to make some extra money. Unfortunately, they’ve received a lot of bad press over the internet due to the many ‘work at home’ scams. A good paid survey site however, can provide you with information, guidelines and contacts that can help you to earn some decent money online. Although they are few and far between, legitimate paid online surveys are available.

The unfortunate thing about surveys is that many people don’t take them seriously enough. Many people just buy a membership, realize that it takes some time and work, and then they just give up. It is a common belief that working online can help one live the ‘American Dream’ - earning a lot for doing very little, luxury holidays, fancy cars etc. This is probably due to the way many ‘make money online’ programs are advertised. In reality, it just isn’t as simple as that.

So how much money can you make taking online surveys? This is something that you can only determine by your own actions. Money won’t be handed to you on a plate - you have to put the time and effort in. Unfortunately too many people just do surveys for a day or two, realize that they are not going to earn $75 for every survey and then they cry scam because it doesn’t live up to their expectations. Also, if money is what you want from online surveys, then don’t join a survey site that gives other rewards and prizes or you may end up being disappointed. There are a few sites that provide you with surveys for cash only.

If you want to be successful with paid online surveys then you do need to stick with it. A good paid survey site will give you all the information and contacts that you need, but you mustn’t give up after a day or two. Online surveys won’t make you rich, but in time they could make a serious contribution to your financial security.
