Be it the field of science or technology or be it the field of arts or literature they survived because the creative leaders in these fields constantly bathed the humanity with new concepts and new ideas.

But in today’s fast paced life when everything is measured in terms of profitability, people hesitate experimenting with new ideas for fear of failure, for fear of ridicule or for fear of losing their well established career.

Leaders since time immemorial have used creative ideas to further their causes; these leaders wrote the history of mankind and were always desirous to welcome new ideas for the benefit of the whole humanity.

When Mahatma Gandhi gave out the concept of non-violence, the world was taken aback. A revolution without violence, this was something that none had ever dreamed, but this single idea gave a new dimension to the modern struggle for justice.

Leadership and creativity often compliment each other. A leader should constantly evolve himself, he needs to constantly have innovative ideas; if he tries to survive on his old stereotypical image then it’s just a matter of time when he will inculcated into history.

A leader should also encourage creativity. Any creative idea finds acceptance if it is able to make significant contribution to a person’s life.

Creative ideas can be in any field; it can be in the field of science and technology, it can be in the field of arts and literature, it can be in the field of music and theater; inf act creativity depends on how deep a person can think, the field is absolutely immaterial when associated with creativity.

At present, leaders in many organizations try to adopt the same old method of leadership fearing that the new ideas may not bring the desired results; they think the new ideas would result in wastage of time, money and valuable resources.

Such concerns are completely misplaced; because history has numerous examples wherein we can see that a particular organization which was once a leader have withered into oblivion because of their unwillingness to be creative.

Those industries that have been innovative and valued creativity have not only survived the onslaught of time but today have become a behemoth. This is why great business leaders always valued creativity and have always encouraged it.

Being able to take risks is worthwhile as it helps in survival. Not only in business but in politics too; great leaders have shed the stereotypical ideas and have brought revolution with their all powerful new ideas.

New ideas indeed face lots of resistance because they are unproven. Purist fear them and many think that implementing them is similar to digging their own graves.

It comes down on the leaders to motivate their followers to accept new ideas; a leader is one whom the people believe and trust, whom they think has the capability to help them realize their dreams. So a leader should use their personal magnetism to spread hope and enthusiasm within their team.
