You’re both work 40 hours or more a week. You spend time with your kids, fight the good fight against traffic everyday, and manage to handle all of those unexpected problems that crop up. By weeks end you’re tired. No, not just tired, you’re too numb to do anything but prepare yourself to do it all over again. Oh sure, you have a few leftover hours free here and there, but definitely not nearly enough time to devote to your personal relationship, let alone sex life, right?

Today is exactly two years since I stuck a needle in my arm…or used any other mind or mood altering substance.
Two years to the date in which my entire world was flipped, swiveled and swerved to steer me in a new direction, leading to the journey upon the path where I would finally begin learning how to live my life.
Scattered above were big, white puffs of cotton-candy-clouds parading across the bright, blue of the mid-morning sky. Streams of sunlight danced down from above, breaking into shafts of light that broke through the clouds setting their edges aglow. I remember this day so clearly not because of it’s extraordinary beauty but because….

The Master Of The Pointless Conversation

If you’re like most people, then you often feel like you’re spending far too much time and emotional energy having certain conversations with certain people.
Imagine how many years we could add to our lives if we could reclaim all the time we’ve wasted on those pointless, meaningless, destructive, repetitious, mind-blowingly-frustrating, mind-numbingly-boring, too-many-to-remember conversations we’ve all had.
You know the ones.
Quite often they’re with the same people.
About the same issues.
Or similar.
And invariably we end up with the same result; frustration, conflict, anger, tears, drama or some combination thereof.
No joy, no solution, no agreement, no mutual understanding or respect.
And less time and productivity in our day.
