Guidelines On Effective Ebook Writing
May 9, 2008 |
One of the fastest selling products on the internet is e-books but most people are afraid to try. If you take note of the information detailed here there is no reason why you can’t start yours right now. If you are afraid to write your own work then why not employ someone to do this for you; alternatively use them for research purposes for extra material.
The topic for your e-book should come from research carried out in articles you have written, possibly on a subject you have knowledge about. By writing the articles it provides practice and they are easier to do but they can also be used later to help promote your book in all sorts of online areas. If you want to know how successful the book will be, just send the articles on the topic of the book to various article directories to se how many people view them.
Once this is complete you can start writing the content of the e-book and work out how you want it to look. If you are worried about the structure you should not go wrong of you follow the normal introduction section, body content and then a conclusion to the subject which might also have a helpful resources area as well. If you write a few more articles that complement the book you may find it will increase the overall perceived value.
Normally authors will write an article and then insert it into their e-book as this gives them an idea of how it will look when it is completed. E-Books are shorter than print books with the optimum length being around 50 pages so stick to the topic, and offer good, useful information. Because it’s more difficult to read on your computer screen than on the page, ensure that there’s no information that essentially useless to your reader.
Most e-books contain extra or bonus information collected by the author; be on the look-out for this so you can provide some too. Your bonus material could include a small report (just write two or three additional articles), checklists, or add templates. Any extra material you supply will need to be worthwhile on its own and be related to your e-book subject.
